Tokyo has entered the rainy season and hydrangeas(紫陽花) are in bloom!
Today we shared a restaurant, Shinka(眞か), which is located in Nakameguro.
Shinka is famous for its Ise lobster dishes and you can feel Japanese traditions and new culture at the same time from their creative cuisines.
They carefully selected dishes as well.
Shinka uses pottery made by using Japanese traditional techniques, such as Bizen Ware, Karatsu Ware, and Imari Ware, for their dishes which has been passed down for generations.
Bizen Ware (備前焼) is the oldest one and its history goes back to Jomon era(around BC300).
Those ceramic arts are also displayed everywhere in the restaurant.
