Today I am going to introduce Ryogoku area which can be accessed easily with Toei Oedo Line from Shin-okachimachi station (just close to HOTEL UNO).
What is your idea about Ryogoku?
You might come up with Sumo and the arena for it, Kokugikan.
There has café, restaurant and museum of Sumo so that you can enjoy all day long.
Not only Sumo but many kinds of event such as music lives are held in this place (capacity over 10 thousand people!).
Just beside Kokugikan, stands Edo Tokyo museum.
It is nice to visit here if you are interested in ancient Tokyo when it was called Edo.
However, now it is closed for renovation until March 31.
I am looking forward to the re-opening!
Here is also next to Kokugikan,
Kyu Yasuda Teien (the former Yasuda garden)
You can see very Japanese styled garden here.
Why don't you take a rest during your exploration in Ryogoku?
There is another park around this area, Yokoami-cho park.
Memorial hall of disaster in Tokyo is also located there.
I listed up just few parts of attractive Ryogoku area today,
will write in detail and more about here!
