I really love to go to local place to hang out when I go to abroad, so I show you 2 districts that have tiny classical bars in Tokyo.
These bars are tiny and have good atmosphere, so you must be able to have a local experience with some people at the bars.
・Golden Gai in Shinjuku
Golden Gai that is located 10 minutes from Shinjuku station have over 200 tiny bars.
Here is very popular with not just local people, but also international tourists.
Some bars have own theme such as music, movies and literature, so if you have something you really love, you will be able to meet and talk with someone who also love them.
There is a Ramen shop that is called “Ramen Nagi” and it is open 24 hours, so you can enjoy Ramen as a drunk food.
・Nonbei Yokocho in Shibuya
Nonbei Yokcho is located in the central of Shibuya that is known as a city of young people that has many fashionable buildings.
The food stands around Shibuya station have changed to tiny bars after world war Ⅱ apparently.
You can enjoy retro atmosphere as you go back in time.
And they have a festival on October every year.
It must be so fun to have Japanese food and drinks talking with local people in a tiny bar, but you should make sure that most of them are close on Sunday.
Hope you will enjoy!
